We have a new Prometheus Burning song featured on the Pale Blue Dot compilation, which was just released today! All proceeds from Pale Blue Dot are going to benefit the people and animals of Japan who are currently dealing with the aftermath of the recent devastating Earthquake and Tsunami. Thousands were killed. Even more were left displaced. To top it off, they also have a nuclear meltdown to deal with. Read this article published just today about the brave senior citizens of Japan volunteering for what they are calling the “nuclear suicide corps” to try and help recover from this disaster which is still uncontrolled two months since the initial meltdown (CNN article).
Pale Blue Dot was organized by Shikhee of Android Lust, mastered by Japan resident Gregg Janman of Hermetech Mastering, and is available for preview and purchase from Bandcamp. The compilation is also available from Amazon and iTunes. See the track list and artist lineup below:
01. Collide ~ Crushed
02. Avi Ghosh ~ All That’s Left Of Us
03. Advent Dawn ~ A Portrait In Mind
04. My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult ~ Death Threat
05. Mankind Is Obsolete ~ Picking at the Scab (Live mix by Sylvia Massy)
06. Abrasions ~ All Ashes

Donate to the Red Cross to help support Japan.
Get a free Prometheus Burning digital album.

Since our first official release “Influenza” in 2004, we have been receiving orders of our music from Japan. We have personally shipped more copies of our albums there than any other international country. In 2008 we released “Retribution”, our collaboration album with Japanese Cyberpunk author and literary madman Kenji Siratori. In 2009 our friends in Osaka and fellow electro assassins Uterozzzaaa offered us a small tour in Japan which we sadly had to decline at that time. In 2010 Gregg Janman, a resident of Japan and engineer of Hermetech Studio, mastered our double disk release “Displacement Disorder”. It was also around this time when we received a lot of messages from fans and DJ’s in Japan like DJ SiSeN sending us their playlists or video clips of people going nuts to our music at events.
TL;DR - Japan has been extremely supportive of Prometheus Burning and we greatly appreciate it. Now we ask you, our listeners and friends, to help return the favor by supporting Japan in their time of tragedy and need.
Donate money to the Red Cross. Forward us your receipt email or send us a screenshot or whatever, showing us that you donated something, ANYTHING, and we will send you a code to download any one of our albums from Bandcamp for FREE.
This offer will stand starting now, March 15th, through March 29th… or possibly longer it people are taking advantage of it and continue to donate. We wish we could offer you more incentive, but that’s about all we can do right now beyond donating ourselves, which we did today after it was announced that Japan is now taking international assistance, and working with the Red Cross who just sent an initial $10 million to assist Earthquake and Tsunami survivors.
Read all about it and make your donation by clicking HERE.

- Things are progressing very well with “Displacement Disorder”.
- We uploaded a preview of the first three songs from the album to our Soundcloud and Myspace pages.
- The pressing plant has all of the artwork and approved it last week along with the liner notes and the MASSIVE “thank you” list.
- The master CD’s and copyright forms were sent via snail mail last Monday and should be in their hands any day now to get pressed.
- All 60 of the mini-collages are finished and just need laminated now.
- Working with Paul McCarroll to design the PDF file we will be including with the digital version of the album, containing extra artwork and images.
- Still on hiatus concerning live performances, but might be hitting the stage again in June.
- We are very happy to announce that Mom’s latest exams came back cancer free, with no signs of it returning. The operations were successful and no chemo has been needed so far. After the last 4 months, she has made amazing healing progress. In fact, even some of the benign tumors have shrunk and vanished. This has been an amazing load off of our minds, and things feel somewhat normal again at the house.
- Thank you once again to everyone who has been supporting the “Electronic Saviors” compilation, and keeping it #1 on the Metro charts.
- The Trash Audio Synth Meet 7 is happening this week in Chicago, and we will most likely be there with “THE BEAST” in tow. Looking forward to tweaking knobs, making noise, and showing off our Synths once again.

March 22nd by the Mother of Abominations
The last 9 months have been filled with drama, disappointment, and bullshit. Lots of real life issues that we tend to keep quiet about. Old friends dying. Family and housemates getting cancer. Job loss and major financial problems. Cars blowing up. Moving and recent threats of eviction. Personal mental handicaps. All kinds of fun shit.
Prometheus Burning has been impacted greatly by these external factors beyond our control. Devoting as much time, energy, and money to the band as we would like has not been possible for about the last year or so. The upcoming album, which we somehow managed to finish despite it all, was one of the few things that has kept us going. The feeling of accomplishment from creating something amidst all the bullshit that we feel expresses ourselves emotionally and artistically. The anticipation of releasing something we are proud of. It has been the one thing we felt that is “good” that has come out of the last year of shit. We also feel it is our most solid album to date and truly defines what is “Prometheus Burning”.
We appreciate the emails and concern some of you have expressed in regards to the recent changes made at Crunch Pod, asking how it will effect us and the new album. Unfortunately we do not have an immediate answer. Yes we will be staying with Crunch Pod. Yes the album will see the light of day. Exactly in what format(s) and when is now something we will have to reestablish with Crunch Pod. Chances our that the goal of a Spring time release are now unrealistic, but who knows? It may come to the point where you, our fans, friends, and listeners, will have the power to make this release happen or not. Acquiring additional funding to help finish paying off the mastering and artists involved through Kickstarter.com like means and donations may be a possible option in the very near future. We will keep you all posted as news and ideas develop.
We can definitely say that this will be the last new full length release from Prometheus Burning for a while though. We simply don’t have the time or patience to deal with “the scene” right now… taking punches from the internet haters and malicious critics who want to see us fail, haggling with half-assed promoters and swindlers, defending ourselves from paranoid little children with conspiracy theories, trying to keep up with the download wars between the pirates and the labels and distributors which are falling like flies… all of it just seems so petty right now when in contrast to the heavy real life shit we have going on. The real reasons behind the music… the art, the vision, the emotion, the magick… it is being sucked right out by this type of shit and leaving the already small scene a hollow shell of nostalgic yesterdays and hopeful “what if’s” for the future.
Live performances and full length albums will have to shift to the back burner for now until we get our real lives and priorities straight. We thank everyone who listens to our music and supports our artistic endeavors. We also want to thank the Crunch Pod folks for doing everything within their means to helps us achieve our goals. We will see some of you at our performance at the VNV Nation show this week. Our set will be short but very special and quite possibly our last show for a while.

Thank you so much Philly. The Digital Ferret show was a blast. It was great to see so many familiar faces, some from as far as New Jersey and NYC. It was equally great to see so many new faces and make some new friends. We experimented with a few new things during our performance, and it seemed to have been very well received. Many, many thank you’s to all who donated and bought merch. We can’t express how much we appreciate it. Also many thanks to Joe, Dean, Brandon, and the rest of the Digital Ferret crew for having us, and for all of your hospitality. We wish you much success with your future fourth Friday events. Last but certainly not least, thank you to DJ Constantine, Rise of Because, and Paul Romano for sharing your art, music, and vision. Everyone’s efforts made the evening a very inspiring and entertaining one, and the audience who filled the store and graced us with an open ear made it all worthwhile.
