Beyond Repair review - Heathen Harvest
The end at the beginning: A massive powerhouse of a recording. A must have in your collection. Rhythmic Industrial never sounded better. Music for collapsing new people. Heavy throbbing beats that will have you dancing as society burns all around you. Buy it now. Essential for the mentalists amongst you.
If I was to review this properly then I probably would have used one of the above sentences / quotes to end this review. But this isn’t a normal review. For I have had a flash of genius. Inspiration at its best. I’ve come to the conclusion, logical for once, that there are just too many recordings out there for the average man, or woman for that matter, in the street to purchase. Therefore a review has to stand out from the crowd, just like the music in fact, to get peoples attention. Otherwise this review will end up in the fucking HUGE box marked ‘great music’ which many will miss because it will be swallowed and covered up by similar worded reviews. Well fuck that!! You will take notice of this release because I’m going to write it in such a way that it will remain ingrained in your brain until you buy it. You’ll fucking love this. I introduce to you…a big fanfare should be sounding right at this moment…Prometheus Burning ‘Beyond Repair’ as appertaining to and described by every letter taken from the alphabet:
A…Awesome
B…Belligerent
C…Cerebral
D…Devastating
E…Elaborate
F…Fierce
G…Grandiose
H…Humdinger
I…Immaculate
J…Jocose
K…Kicking
L…Lavish
M…Malefic
N…Nervy
O…Omnipotent
P…Pernicious
Q…Quintessence
R…Reinvigorate
S…Sinister
T…Thunderous
U…Unabated
V…Virulent
W…Wondrous
X…XL (I kind of struggled with that fucking letter)
Y…Yammer
Z…Zenith
That was harder than first imagined. Some of the words were easy to place. Others not so. Still I think overall that that ended up being quite successful. Makes you want to rush out and grab a copy of this recording straight away I hope. There are just so many groups who are into this Rhythmic Industrial genre that something unusual is needed to make a group who makes a quality recording stand out. I fucking loved this. I did. The tunes were strong and defiant. The beats were hard to beat. I’m just too clever by half. The samples were excellent. I might even attempt to shag along to this one day. That will surprise the wife let me tell you. I only hope my heart can stand the extra pressure I’ll be exerting on it. If you feel in the mood for some hardcore electronics then look no further. I refer you to my first paragraph once more.
The beginning at the end: The second release by Greg VanEck and Nikki Telladictorian Palmer… who record under the name Prometheus Burning…is a 23 track Rhythmic Industrial recording, although tracks 11 - 22 last for only 4 seconds each and contain silence, which is a welcome addition to this ever popular genre. They have obviously listened to similar releases and have used all the tricks in the unwritten book to help create a massive slab of adrenaline fueled steroid filled body music that will have mass appeal to all the fans of this music out there. You can even quote me on that if you want.
