The Future of Prometheus Burning, Part 2
Last nights performance was a blast. Many thanks to Jim, Sean, Kevin, Emilee, Jeremy, Nadine, VNV Nation, Mr. Smalls Fun House, and everyone who came out and made it happen. We feel as if we managed to cast out some of our inner demons last night, and are left feeling renewed today, ready to take on the personal troubles we will be facing during the next couple of months. We needed that, and thank you all for your support.
Here is a video of us performing “Battery Drain” last night (also available in HD):
Like we mentioned before, we will now be taking a small break from doing any shows for a little while (that we are not already committed too!)… probably until June, when we have something very special brewing with one of our favorite bands.
Also we thought we had a lot on our plate with the tour in the Fall being planned. This was one of the biggest reasons we weren’t going to take on more shows at the moment, because we wanted to make sure we could focus on making it happen. But the West Coast tour with Manufactura has now fallen through due to personal differences. We did not “back out” or drop off like it was initially suggested. That was a misunderstanding on his part.
We apologize to those who were looking forward to seeing us. We hate having to break our commitments. We promise to make our way out there eventually. It is for the best that we discovered our bands don’t mix well together ahead of time, rather than while on the road. The good news about the matter is that our schedule is now wide open. Any promoters interested in booking us, or any other bands looking to tour, please contact us. We are planning to have our new album out by then, and we will be looking to do as many shows as possible to help promote it.
Matt of Caustic pointed out that yesterday marked the one year anniversary of the “IT AIN’T DEAD YET” tour! Rolling around from city to city with Caustic and The Gothsicles was not only our highlight of the year, but one of the best experiences of our lives. If it wasn’t for the memories we made during those crazy 14 days, I have no idea how we could have survived the rest of the year. Many thanks once again to Matt, Brian, Katja, and everyone who came out and made that tour possible.
